C. Nelson Ho is an independent consultant specializing in safety, health and environmental compliance for the graphic arts, chemical manufacturing and petroleum refining industry. He is listed in the Marquis’ Who’s Who in Science and Engineering as well as Who’s Who Environmental Registry. He has more than 40 years of experience handling compliance with government regulations for printing, petroleum, and chemical manufacturing facilities.
He has thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in:

He is also very well versed in OSHA’s mandatory safety program and personnel training; injury investigation and analysis; ergonomics review and training; noise level determination and analysis; and comprehensive safety audit.
While as the Director of Environmental and Safety Affairs of GATF, he authored a Pollution Prevention Manual for the Printing industry; co-authored and edited the Chapter for the Printing Industry in USEPA’s Air Pollution Engineering Manual (AP42); and published many articles in several trade journals, such as GATF World, TAGA, High Volume Printing, TAPPI and foreign journals in English and Chinese (mandarin).
He has conducted more than 400 environmental, safety and risk reviews and audits. He also has prepared more than 400 air and wastewater permit applications (including eight Title V Operating Permits) in all but 4 states in the U.S. and Canada, as well as 45 hazardous waste, solid waste, and medical waste disposal facilities, including incinerators, landfills, and treatment facilities around the country. In addition, he’s been involved in several court cases dealing with soil and groundwater contamination representing both the plaintiff and defendants. He has also represented many printers in the handling and negotiation of non-compliance issues with OSHA as well as USEPA and state environmental agencies.
Currently he is the president of his own consulting firm, NEJC Consulting Corporation. He was the Vice President of Safety and Environmental Management for Consolidated Graphics in charge of more than 76 commercial printing facilities’ compliance issues from 2007 to 2011. During his 19 years tenure with PIA/GATF from 1989 to 2007, he was a Senior Technical Consultant for Safety and Environment as well as Director of Safety and Environmental Affairs. He was a Senior Principal Environmental Engineer in charge of the environmental operation of the Headquarters of Air Products & Chemicals in Allentown, PA and was awarded a Chairman’s Award for outstanding performance in waste minimization; Safety and Environmental Manager at Hatco Chemical Corporation in Fords, NJ; Senior Environmental Engineer at Mobil Chemical in Edison, NJ; Environmental Coordinator at Mobil Engineering/Technical Center in Princeton, NJ in charge of the environmental affairs; and Environmental Engineer at Mobil Paulsboro Refinery in Paulsboro, NJ; Environmental Chemist conducting sampling and analysis of soil and groundwater contamination with TCE, PCE and PCB at ENCOTEC in Ann Arbor, MI
He has a BSE in oceanography and navigation; an MSE in environmental engineering, and an MS in environmental chemistry, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.
